Important — please read first
The information on this Site is published for general educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional, and must not be used to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, dial 000 (Australia) or your local emergency number immediately. Always consult a registered medical practitioner before starting, stopping, or modifying any treatment, supplement, herb, or remedy.
1. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of homeopathyplus.com.au (the "Site"), operated by Homeopathy Plus ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. Medical disclaimer — read carefully
2.1 Educational content only
All content on the Site — articles, guides, materia medica entries, case studies, tutorials, podcasts, videos, comments, newsletter posts, social-media excerpts, and any other material — is published strictly for general informational and educational purposes. It reflects the personal opinions and research of the authors at the time of publication and is not intended to constitute medical, naturopathic, homeopathic, nutritional, psychological, dental, legal or financial advice.
2.2 Not a substitute for professional advice
Nothing on this Site is a substitute for personalised advice from a qualified, registered healthcare practitioner. Always seek the advice of a registered medical practitioner, registered homeopath, registered naturopath, integrative GP, or other appropriately qualified professional before:
- Starting, stopping, or changing any medication, supplement, herb, homeopathic remedy, or therapy.
- Using any self-treatment approach during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or in children under 16.
- Treating any acute, chronic, infectious, autoimmune, oncological, psychiatric, or other serious condition.
- Combining alternative therapies with prescription medication (interactions can be serious and unpredictable).
- Making any change to your lifestyle, diet, exercise regimen, or healthcare that could materially affect your health.
2.3 No practitioner-patient relationship
Reading content on this Site, subscribing to our newsletter, posting comments, or sending us messages does not create a practitioner-patient, doctor-patient, therapist-client, or any other professional relationship between you and Homeopathy Plus, its authors, contributors, editors, or operators.
2.4 Emergencies
If you or someone in your care is experiencing a medical emergency — including but not limited to chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, head injury, suspected stroke, suicidal ideation, severe allergic reaction, or any other potentially life-threatening symptom — call 000 immediately (Australia), 911 (USA/Canada), 999 (UK), 112 (EU), or your local emergency number. Do not rely on this Site for emergency information.
2.5 Drug interactions and contraindications
Herbs, homeopathic remedies, supplements and nutritional interventions can interact with prescription medications, anaesthesia, surgical procedures, and pre-existing conditions in ways that may be harmful. Always disclose all remedies, herbs and supplements you are taking to every healthcare provider involved in your care, particularly before surgery, pregnancy, or starting a new prescription medication.
2.6 Individual results vary
Testimonials, case studies and clinical anecdotes on the Site describe individual experiences and are not representative or predictive of typical results. Health responses to any intervention vary widely between individuals based on genetics, lifestyle, comorbidities, dosage, quality of preparation, and many other factors.
3. Accuracy and currency of content
We make reasonable efforts to ensure information is accurate and up to date at the time of publication. However:
- Scientific and medical understanding evolves. Older articles may not reflect current best evidence.
- We do not warrant that any specific article is complete, current, or applicable to your circumstances.
- External research we link to is published by third parties and may be updated, retracted or superseded without our knowledge.
- If you identify an error, please report it via the contact page so we can review and correct it.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
- Homeopathy Plus, its authors, contributors, editors, owners, operators, agents and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of health, loss of life, personal injury, emotional distress, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption — arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Site; (b) any content on the Site; (c) any action you take or refrain from taking in reliance on Site content; (d) any third-party content or external link; (e) any errors, omissions, viruses or technical issues.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to: (i) re-supplying the relevant content; or (ii) paying the cost of having the relevant content re-supplied — provided that no fee has been paid for the content (the Site is provided free of charge).
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Homeopathy Plus, its authors, contributors, editors, owners, operators, agents and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, proceedings, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; (d) any decision you make or action you take in reliance on Site content; (e) any user-generated content you submit.
6. User conduct
When using the Site you agree NOT to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Post, transmit or distribute content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, pornographic, hateful, or that incites violence or discrimination.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Solicit personal medical advice from contributors or other readers, or post personal medical histories of identifiable third parties.
- Promote, sell or solicit business for unregistered practitioners, unproven products, or schemes that may harm readers.
- Upload viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt or compromise the Site or its users.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, server, or related infrastructure.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content for commercial use without prior written permission.
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) in a way that places an unreasonable load on infrastructure.
7. User-generated content
If you submit comments, questions, testimonials or other content to the Site, you grant Homeopathy Plus a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, edit, publish, translate, distribute and display that content in connection with the Site. You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have all necessary rights to the content; (b) the content does not infringe any third-party right; (c) the content is accurate and not misleading; (d) the content complies with these Terms and applicable law.
We reserve the right (but assume no obligation) to review, moderate, edit or remove any user-generated content at our sole discretion, without notice, and to ban users who breach these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including articles, images, photographs, illustrations, logos, design, layout, typography and source code — is owned by or licensed to Homeopathy Plus and is protected by Australian and international copyright, trade mark and other intellectual-property laws. You may:
- View, download and print individual articles for your personal, non-commercial use.
- Share article links on social media and in personal correspondence.
- Quote short excerpts for academic, journalistic or educational purposes with proper attribution and a link back to the source article.
You may NOT, without our prior written permission:
- Reproduce, republish, syndicate or redistribute any content on another website, app, newsletter, book, video, or any other medium.
- Use any content for commercial purposes, including practitioner marketing, supplement promotion, or paid courses.
- Remove or alter copyright, trade mark, attribution or other proprietary notices.
- Use our name, logo or branding in a way that suggests endorsement of any product, service or person.
9. Third-party links and content
The Site may link to or embed content from third-party websites (research papers, news articles, videos, podcasts, etc.). We provide these links for convenience and do not endorse, sponsor, control or accept responsibility for any third-party content. Your use of third-party sites is governed by their terms and privacy policies, which you should review.
10. Sponsorships, affiliates and conflicts of interest
Where an article is sponsored, written in partnership with a brand, or contains affiliate links, we disclose this clearly at the top of that article. Affiliate revenue (if any) supports the cost of operating the Site and does not influence editorial recommendations.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice and without liability, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or applicable law, or if continued access poses a risk to the Site or its users.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged with a banner on the Site for at least 30 days. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the changes, you must stop using the Site.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the federal laws of Australia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the federal courts of Australia, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
15. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Homeopathy Plus regarding your use of the Site, and supersede all prior agreements, communications or representations.
16. Contact
For questions about these Terms, please contact us via the contact page.
